Understanding the Green New Deal
By Kathleen Meyer, February 2019
When I finally rolled out today (Feb 15th) after not sleeping last night, Patrick immediately informed me I’d just missed a great speech by our leader. “You could probably duplicate it,” he quipped, “by stabbing yourself in the ear with a sharp pencil.”

Everything we hold dear to a future on this planet is under attack by blind big money. Here—in two quick videos, with some of my favorite people—is the HOPE.

Panel: “Understanding the Green New Deal”
with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders,
Bill McKibben, Van Jones, Shailene Woodley.

First episode of “The Conversation”
with the great Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks.
Bernie’s vision for the future of the America.

I really appreciated the two videos. Very exciting to live in this time of truth being spoken to power, and truth using its power to benevolent ends.

Your recommended reading list is a treasure (and I’m honored to see all three of my books on it, thank you)!
Kathleen
I hope it will be more “exciting” than full of stress and strife in this coming year of campaigning. It often feels endless. Yet staying abreast and participation are necessary if we are to get anywhere.

Kathleen’s book list is absolutely the best! Books that will haunt you, thrill you, devastate you, and enlighten you; pick any ten and read them this year for brain and heart refreshment unparalleled.
Kathleen
Ten? Do you hire out to do press releases? Thanks, Liz!

. . . “swimming in the river” 😆 yep, we’ve got to keep our hopes and dreams alive. Mine is hiking the desert Red Rock.

Enjoy the rest of the winter.
Kathleen
I always think of you meandering the desert red rock. Stay well, good woman.
